My buddies truck getting stolen reminded me I realy need to get a proper alarm. Need recommendations for Houston Car Alarms. I need a somewhat custom alarm - something probably not available "off the shelf" or at least highly modified. Anyone know of a shop that can do this - capable of more than just installing what came in the box?
Reason I need custom is I end up needing to leave my truck running often. Need to be able to leave keys in it and running - but have it not be able to be put in gear when alarm engaged. I have a remote start which works perfect for what I need - cant be put in drive because no key in ignition. But it automatically shuts the truck down after 10 minutes. If that feature could be modified, no auto shut off, that would be perfect....
