Good find. There's a lot of duplication in that list. Batmobile x 2, Eleanor x 2, Minis x 2.

Before I read that list, I thought of a few movie cars that have to be on the list. Most of them were on the list, but here are a few that weren't:
1. The EM50 from Stripes
2. Vin Diesel's GTO from XXX
3. Jake Ryan's Porsche 944 from Sixteen Candles

One gripe with the list. The Smokey and The Bandit TransAm was a 1980, not a 1977 as they listed in the caption.

Actually the original Smokey and the Bandit featured a 1977 Trans Am. The movie came out in '77, so it would've been tough to have an '80 in the picture. Check out the car in these images (notice no divider between the headlights)

Smokey and the Bandit II did feature a '79 or '80 model (and I believe that's what they pictured in the countdown above based on the wheels and nose.)

Also I probably would've included the rental '86 Chrysler Lebaron Town & Country convertible from Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

Alonzo's '79 Monte Carlo in Training Day

Jerry Lundegaard's 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera in Fargo

Wooderson's 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS 454 LS5 in Dazed and Confused

F W ag 01 - what I meant to say (although I worded it poorly) was that the picture in the countdown is of a 1980 T/A, NOT a 1977 like the caption says. Since I wrote my sentence poorly and didn't proofread, I realize that what I said was the opposite. I actually got to see Smokey and the Bandit II in the theater when it came out in 1980. This was shocking because my parents never took us out to anything that wasn't a Disney movie group trip with my cousins.

This one is probably better known for the TV show, but was still made into a poor movie.

For the last 25 years or so I have been amazed I once liked the Trans Am in Smokey and the Bandit. I guess I was young then.

Now I think it is an example of Pontiac at its worst. The screaming chicken decal on the hood is just hideous.

I think the Bandit TransAm has held up well over the years. I'm more of a Z28/SS Camaro guy, but I can appreciate the 1st and 2nd generation Firebirds. I especially like the fishscale dash gauge surrounds on the 2nd generation Firebirds. I always thought that looked sharp.

My first car was a '79 Camaro. The 305 eeked out 130hp, which makes for a pretty slow 3800lb car, but I absolutley loved mine. Most G2 Camaros on the road are pretty ratty, but mine was absolutley flawless in and out. Looked a lot like this one:

I would've killed for a '77 Trans Am.
Here's an image of what Old Main is talking about:

Good pic...The fish scale surround probably looks better against black, red, or blue interior.

WHat about the Toyota Tundra from Terminator 3, toughest vehicle I ever saw in that movie. Or any of the Lethal Weapons, where Riggs always drives a new bodystyle GMC truck a year before it is coming out.

I listed Wooderson's Chevelle SS above. It was a toss up between that car and the orange '70 GTO Judge.

Yeah, that's a 68 Charger (I have to see the taillights to tell a 68 from a 69).

For dleonard:
