Finally got a HD news broadcast around here. I wonder how long till the others follow suit.

They sure aren't shy about mentioning 'HD' every chance they get.

I may have to start watching them....don't know if I want to see Andy Anderson in HD....but if Erica Harpold was still on there that's a different story.

Channel 25 has the worst graphics in the business...how sporting events can be in HD and it is still a bad picture is beyond me.

They need a serious overhaul

From what I understand, they are not in true HD yet, at least not on DirecTV. The guide says they are, but apparently it is standard definition in widescreen. Some of the technophiles could probably explain it better than me, but yeah Channel 25 is definitely minor leagues.

KCEN is just more professional from top to bottom. Oh, and weathergirl Lynae Miyer is hot.

I became sick and tired of KXXV always showing the fire department hosing the blood from accident scenes. Every crash, hit and run, or killing. Just tasteless and unneeded. Very sensationalist station.

As a kid in this area, my family always ping-ponged between the three Waco news channels, because we never found one that we could stick with. It is the same for me today. There are things I hate about all three- I'll like the weatherman on one channel, but despise their sports and graphics. Another channel will have good anchors anchors but extremely bush league reporting. Then one channel loses the annoying person that I disliked, so I tune in to them again to find something else I don't like... it is a vicious cycle. If I had grown up with one I would probably watch it out of habit, but I didn't. It is so annoying.

And yes, KXXV's graphics look like they were made by the producer's 12-year-old with MS Paint. KCEN's look is much, much sleeker and pleasant, but Andy Andersen really annoys me.

I'm a big Gordon and Julie fan, so we watch 10 pretty much all the time.

BTW Eli Ross goes to my gym. Aren't you all jealous?

I really like the new KCEN HD, but 10 is by far the most professional station IMHO, although Eli Ross' has freaky inflection when he reports and Adam Winkler can be a bit much. I love Rusty, Gordon, Julie, and oh yeah... did I mention Emily Matthews.

Eli Ross single handedly turns me away from News 10. Just tough to take seriously.
