TAMUCC still has a semi-commuter school feel to it, kind of like UTSA.
Its growing rapidly and the enrollment will be capped w/in the next few years if they cant find room to expand (which they're working on now).
New buildings are going up and they have apartments on campus, no dorms, which seems to be the trend now a days.
They are trying to get an Engineering school approved and expand on their Marine Science school, too.
It's not a very selective school, right now, but they have a lot of good administrators there and it's only improving.
It doesn't have the "real college experience" feel to it yet, and I dont know if it ever will, but it's growing for sure.
