Ok, here's how it looks today in Galveston.
That guy should not be surfing there! There is a city ordinance that says no surfing by the Flagship hotel!
When was the last time surfers actually obeyed city ordinances?

Most surfers obey city ordinance when the sheriff is standing right there to enforce it.
I guarantee I can surf longer than the sheriff is going to sit on the beach and wait for me to come in.

Becks - any good surf lately? Or has it gone summer flat already?
Past few days has been knee high and choppy. This afternoon it bumped up to about waist high and still disorganized. But hey, it's July and it's still ridable so we're not complaining. Planning on giving it a try here in a few minutes when Charles gets home. When ya gonna come down and catch a few waves yourself?

Yesterday was fun.

had a buddy leave for tamarindo today. makes me wish that i still had my longboards.
Continental has specials to Tamarindo, direct from Houston, all the time. The next one that comes out, I'm jumping on it!
Sebastian Inlet, Florida was small but fun today.
Still a better day than most of the Ft. Myers Beach surf days...

I remember the first time I caught a wave in Florida, near Jacksonville. At first, I thought I was wasting my time, it was flat but I was on the beach in Florida so I rented a board. Well, about every five minutes a wave would come. You could ride it a while before it would start to break. Anyway, I though I was about to be swallowed by a shark only to discover the large object chasing me was the shadow of my board. Beautiful water and sand.
