This forum is slow during the winter months so I figured I would add this. I'll be glad when this project is complete this summer (fingers crossed). The three way light situation works well but will not be missed!

Nope…still have the stop lights…but at least progress is noticeable.
Still a three way light.. Ready for that to go away when the work is done!

So that corner right there in your second picture of OP has always been empty. I'm sure that's city property. Is there any plan to develop that or does Key Allegro own it and leave it that way on purpose? Never sure about that. I think I may have read something in our KA newsletter but don't recall.
Also, I noticed the lone blue house back south of that corner is for sale. Always thought that was a unique spot for that house.

Update, looks like the contractor is about to switch traffic so they can start work on the other side. Another beautiful day down on the gulf coast!
I'm trying to remember which side of the bridge we used to launch from for the Sunfish races out in the bay. It's been about 35 years, but I think it was on the Rockport side.

The teal buildings (north side of the bridge) are Key Allegro Yacht Club and the Key Allegro Real Estate office. They are on the bay side of the bridge. I bet that's where you launched!

Just so you know, they are still delicious! Also, they have expanded their menu!
I'll be there Saturday night. Shrimp is always on point. Chicken fried steak is fantastic as well!
They have a BLT salad that has pork belly bites on it. The have scallops now, as well as sweet potato….have had all of those, and they are outstanding !
Headed to the Key Allegro Yacht Club in about 30 minutes. Have heard the Bloody Mary's are pretty good.
There may not be time to do the job right, but there is always time to do the job over!!

Apparently I missed the excitement later, the old bridge collapsed (after I took my photo) when the contractor drove a track hoe over it. That's the same section we have been using since Harvey!

Been a while since my last update…not a lot of visible progress. Rip-rap is in for second half of the foundation.
Any new updates? We are headed down on June 30.

Just arrived for the rest of the week. Bridge update summary: slow going. Working on bulkhead on the north west side.
Will be there in 8 days. If you look in that blue building in your second pic there is really good fried shrimp in there.
