You might be able to see a tiny bit of them, but it wont be very good. If you're on the beach you'll be looking back towards and over the dunes to try and see anything.

McGee beach , yes. Anywhere on the island... probably not or if you can see it, it would be pretty weak. The island does their own fireworks show as well you can probably catch it off the toad at the end of whitecap. Or if you have a boat just post up in the canals.

Good to know. We noticed the sign on the beach at whitecap "not allowed..." and fireworks was listed. When the hale did they close off driving thru there? No motorized vehicles at all! That's why we stay here. Now we have to beach on one side of the other and I don't like the pier side.

Not sure where you're referring to but At the end of whitecap you are able to drive along the beach. You just can't turn left, but if you turn left on the road where Boathouse is and go to the end of that road you can turn right and access that portion of the beach in front of the Holiday Inn, and area south of Packery.

Yes they've not allowed fireworks at the beach for a while- too many yahoo's and was getting dangerous.

One used to be able to drive on the beach from access rd 3a to whitecap blvd. now a lot of that is blocked off from motorized vehicles mainly in front of the holiday inn and the condos next to it. Beach patrol told us it happened after Memorial Day weekend. Due to beach erosion and families on the beach.
There is a fireworks show closer to the pier. Yay! And as far as doing you're own, your on you're own.
