So it's been quite some time since I've been fishing in Galveston and my friends and I don't have our own rod and reel. Do most bait and tackle shops rent them out? And which pier would you recommend to fish at? Dang it's been too long since I've been to Galveston.

Do you mean the 61st street pier? I believe they're set to reopen in 2010.

None of the Seawall fishing piers have had any work done yet--all gone for now.

Fishing off most of the rock groins and in the surf is OK.
