Hotel recommendations in Galveston???

Would like a recommendation for a nice place to stay for a weekend getaway....have stayed at the Galvez before but can't really afford that type of place right now. Would like something else in that area of the seawall with a really nice room at a more affordable price.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

We've enjoyed the Hilton, has a good pool and is next to Landry's & The Rainforest Cafe.

The Commodore is more affordable. Basic room without all the amenities, but nice and clean.
