Has anyone been to this festvial before. My wife and her friend started a company selling gourmet chocolate truffles and have a booth there this weekend. I am trying to gauge how much of a crowd to expect? Any information is appreciated.

I have heard that not many people are expected this year due the economy & the high price of admission. This is one of the few festivals I have never attended in my hometown. Please tell your wife that she needs to hit the Art Festival on the July 4th weekend. This one might get her more bang for her buck, the town about triples in size from 8k to 25k. Just book early! This will be the first time in the past 5 years that we have been in Rockport Memorial Day weekend that we will be going to the Food and Wine Fest.

I wouldn't count on a big turn out for the Art Festival(which we've never missed since buying our place down there) 4th of July weekend as the 4th falls on a Sat. this year.

FWIW- Art Festival $6. Food and Wine Festival $20.

Everyon--thanks for all the information. Ya'll were right, the crowd was down from past years according to folks that had been there before. The music was cool, and while I am a beer drinker and not a wine drinker, they seemed to have a nice selection of Texas wines to enjoy. My wife's company sold out of their chocolate truffles by the end of day two. All in all a good time. Thanks.

I have been there on 2-3 occasions and the wife and I had a blast and ate some good food and drank some pretty nice wine too!
