green acres has two chapels. the big one will cost an arm and a leg and the smaller one will cost just an arm.

then you have other churches. we go to Sylvania Church and it is a smaller sanctuary which holds around 300-500 i think. but it is reasonable.

i don't know of cake or photographers. sorry.

what time of year? indoor or outdoor? reception sites too? i know someone looking into having a wedding at kiepersol estates, it's a development and winery. the country clubs should have an event planner that could recommend photogs and cakes.

I got married in Tyler a few years ago and used a lady out of Lindale for my cake, it looked beautiful, exactly to my specifications and it tasted great too (which was very important to me). The cost was very reasonable, but I know of some other places too. I went to Green Acres growing up and wanted to get married there but the cost was outrageous. I know of other places for the wedding, reception, cake, photograph, etc. since I did the research a few years ago. If interested email me at leubanks@satx.rr.com

There is also a small "plantation" out on Hwy 64 that holds a ton of weddings. Have no idea of the name - I'm a guy after all.
I got married at Green Acres and had my reception at the Rose Garden. Worked out great.

My brother's first wedding was out at that "plantation". I can't remember the name. It was really nice... a large house for everyone to get ready in, a cottage for the men, very quaint church and another building for the reception foodline. The wedding and reception was actually held outside because of the amount of people. They will put down a dance floor on the ground.

I was going to have my wedding reception at the top of the bank building downtown. Have no idea what's going on with that site right now.

I'd over my estate but I don't want to let the riff raff in. Some of you may have sticky fingers.

seen a few weddings in the rose garden.

there is also a christian camp called pine cove out on lake palestine that has a beautiful overlook and nice dining hall for a reception, as well as several country clubs on the lake (namely eagle bluff? cant remember) that are really nice

hollytree country club in town is a good place for a reception too.

i know some people do their wedding at first baptist downtown - real pretty old chapel.
