We don't fly out of there a ton, and when we do it's typically on American. There used to be several Continental/United flights to Houston out of there, but the travel agent we're using to set up a trip is saying he's not seeing any on his end (maybe he's not seeing any that work for our connecting flights). Does anyone know what time they flight out of Tyler daily (I'm assuming they still do)?

There is no more United service to Houston, they bowed out a few months ago, perhaps a year ago.

The only service in and out of Pounds at the moment is American Eagle to DFW.

On a related note, just yesterday it was reported that $9 million has been appropriated to improve the main runway, which is an apparent overture to entice Southwest to begin serving Tyler as they do other regional airports in the state. But for now, you are stuck going through Dallas.

Well crap. Didn't realize they weren't flying out of here anymore.

Interesting on the Southwest front. That would make sense for a LOT of folks.

Heard the runway work is for a longer runway to handle more cargo flights. This to relieve the cargo traffic in DFW. Southwest would be a bonus.

I haven't flown continental since their merger. Have them
improved yet?

Or maybe they just laughed at the idea of using Longview.
