Typo, I live over there in tanglewood (across from swanns). it's a good area too. Take 31 east from the loop and it'll take about 20 minutes one way.

Okay I'll throw in my two cents:

Food:

Jake's has a great upstairs rooftop patio. Join the club for like $150 a year and you can go there all the time and you get a locker for your stogies. Well worth it. Decent enough food. Good scenery.

Rick's is owned by Rick Eltife, and he also used to own Jake's. It's got pretty damned good food. The scene isn't as hot as it used to be but the food is still good.

The North Shogun has a good atmosphere and the sushi is good.

For Sunday brunch go to Coyote Sam's and sit outside (weather permitting). Decent enough food and a good drinks on a cool patio.

The best patio in town, and some of the best Mexican food, is at Villa Montez. Great patio, pretty good talent.

Go out and eat at Kiepersol. Their wine sucks and their wine list isn't anything better than what you have in your cellar (if you're a wine person) but the food is decent and the atmosphere is good and you won't run into anyone with starched Wranglers, so that's a plus.

Cimmaron's is fair to partly cloudy and on Wednesday they have Ladies' Night so there is a little talent on hand...

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head.

Good luck. Buy a home in the Azalea District or South of the Loop or install night vision equipped automated M16s.

I use the SportClips on troup next to Oliveto.

If you ask for Amanda, she'll do agreat job. I use her all the time.
