Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this organization? I have been contacted by them for something and would like to know the general sentiment, politics, etc.

When we moved to Tyler we considered joining as a workout option, and it was ridiculous. They had a nice basketball court, but the rest of the workout options were laughable at best. They had a huge pool that wasn't in use, and they were looking for donations to get it fixed at the time. That was a year and a half ago, so maybe it has gotten better, but I doubt it considering how far it had to go.

We were pretty disapointed because we moved from Fort Worth, and really liked the downtown YMCA there.

I heard they recently got their pool fixed and have been strapped for cash. I did a little more research and ultimately turned down a position on the board.
