Anybody live out there? What's your experience right now with the border problem we have going on? Nice place to live? Just looking for personal insight rather than some random news article.

TIA

I was out there on a work trip a few years back and there are some pretty cool restaurant areas downtown. The Chihuahua stadium looked really nice. Drinks at the Camino Real bar is a must.

Agreed. El Pasoan, born and raised.

The happiest day of my life was when I moved away for college.

If God was going to give the Earth an enema, he would stick it in Juarez/El Paso. I am Class of '87 graduate of Coronado HS.

Born and raised in El Paso. Graduated from Andress High School in 1984. Last visit to El Paso was in 2017 to bury my mom at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery. I have only been back there twice in the last 40 years. It was a great place to grow up in, but it's too big now. I prefer living out in the country in Arkansas.

Downtown El Paso is great now. We go down to visit family twice a year and that is where my kids like to stay. Plenty of nice restaurants and it's cool to sit rooftop and see the mountains and Mexico.

I haven't actually been in Juarez in well over ten years. El Paso is still one of the safest cities in the US, but Juarez is definitely not safe anymore.

I love the small town feel in El Paso, but it is nice to come back home to Houston.

If Houston is better that's not an endorsement of El Paso.
