Anyone know of nice apartments in Abilene? Prefer the nothern part of Abilene....

Most of the decent apartments are not on the North Side. You can get some decent duplexes or rental homes near ACU.. everything else on the north side is kind of ghetto.

Most of the nice apartments are near the mall on the south loop. I lived in Rolling Ridge (can't remember the exact name - right by Tamolly's accross from the mall), and it was nice and quiet.

Country Club Villas on Ridgemont is the one next to Tamollys. Check there, Newport Village (behind Elegante Suites on Ridgemont, and Windsor Place on Curry Lane.

My son and his roommate are living in a complex on Westheimer, which is the first street east of Judge Ely off 10th. It's an apartment project (mid-'80's) which went condo. When I was out there a month or so ago, I noticed several individual units had "for rent" signs out. He has a very nice 2-BR. Not sure if that's any help.

I'd stick to the south side of town.

you'll spend most of your leisure time ont he southside probably. And literally from Northside to Southside it's like a 10 minute drive on the loop.

i'd definitely stick to southside unless you're moving there for school.

that would be cool, but for about a 3 wk spread there we cant take off. The fair and games keep us hoping.....
