It can neither be confirmed or denied that this is true.

Charlie Jordan was always my favorite. Nothing like starting the weather off holding a cantaloupe.

Tard, has anyone ever told you that you have the greatest personal photo, potentially of all time?

Thanks for the mention, and yes I still have plenty of unusual and possibly disturbing ties.

Steve Kersh: he hired me and I started as his weekend guy literally the same week I graduated. His family is doing great in Amarillo.

Nate Johnson: I hired him so that I could set him up with his future wife, a Texas A&M grad!

And for those of you who remember Cayden McFarland the KTAB sports guy, he's now our weekend sports guy.

My wife (who graduated from AHS) and I really like the Tulsa area, but wish Tulsa were in Texas. Once you leave the city limits of Tulsa, you are back in Oklahoma!

Here's a great Charlie Jordan story that he told me:

Charlie grew up in the Texas Pandhandle near Skellytown, and as was a great athlete as a youth. He probably would have been on one of those "Top 100" recruting lists. He played all sports and was also an outstanding boxer. But because of his football ability he was "recruited" by a nearby larger town to play high school football.

He was a star as was recruited in the mid 1950s by Paul Bear Bryant from Texas A&M. Bryant came to CJ's home to persuade him to choose aTm.

But CJ told him "no sir" because "there weren't any girls there"!

So CJ attended McMurry on football scholarship instead. At the time, McMurry played the likes of Texas Tech in football.

But CJ was quite interested in girls and having a good time, and he didn't make the grades.

He then enlisted in the US Navy where he received meteorology training and was stationed all over the world. He later got a masters degree in meteorology at Pepperdine!

Had Charlie gone to aTm back in the day, he would have been a Junction Boy.
