I need to find a trustworthy mechanic in the local area. I'd prefer Canyon over Amarillo but I'd head north if the mechanic was honest. I need some work done on a leaky heater coil and my transmission. Any suggestions?

Yes. Bruce Hartman at Monkey Wrench 655-3171. He's on 23rd street, just a little south of Pepitos.
He may not be the cheapest, but I totally trust him, and he has proven competent.
I highly recommend Pepito's, also, but for a different kind of gas.
EDIT: Sorry it took 24 hours to notice your request.

Is he the tall skinny guy? I dealt with them this summer and was pleased. Thanks for the peace of mind!
I haven't made it to Pepito's yet but tried out El Patio. It got my stamp of approval.
