Plus, I pay the bill with a Conti MC. So for every $1 in electricity, I get 3 onepass miles.

Probably only 7-8k per year, but I guess it adds up.

I certainly wouldn't want to pay a higher rate just for this feature.

There is also a decent signup bonus...like 3k miles if you do automatic billing.

the power to choose website says the gexa requires a $400 deposit unless you have a letter of credit from your current provider. that sounds like a pain in the ass. did anyone else have to do this?

No. I think they ran a credit check, and if its good you're fine. If you refuse or your credit sucks, then maybe that policy applies.

No, didn't do that. I think since I was paying with CC on auto payment they didn't require.

We had to pay the $400 deposit because we switched from out of city and wouldn't take us our previous credit... I was mad when we got the first bill, we're looking to switch to something else

Just called and got mine lowered from 14.82 to 11.4. Not sure how you guys got it so much lower unless you screwed it up for me... What zip code are you guys in? I'm in 003.

11.4 is their current advertised rate...sure it varies constantly. I am guessing the 10.6ers just got in at a good time and will probably get raised at some point.

i asked specifically about the onepass deal, and she told me (FWIW) that it would be kept on my account and it didn't make my rate higher

she said some component (i'll call it a base rate) is 10.5 but when figuring in some other crap the effective rate hits 11.5

Their website states .116 with all fees...but, while I was getting jealous of everyone, I just checked my Entergy bills and they have been averaging .076 (with credits) and .11 if the credits were excluded. Hence, beside frequent flyer miles, what am I missing here?

You're not missing anything if you get those rates. But isn't Entergy only in the regulated markets?
