There is a boot shop on 1960 over by Kenswick. They have resoled a few pairs for me in the past and done good work.

Would be high on my list for boots, but I'm not sure from the gift front, not a fancy location compared to Republic and when I was there a few months ago, he said it was about 14months out for customs.

He still gets resoles out in a week though.

Jesse Boots in south Houston. Had a custom pair made there almost 15 years ago that I still wear to this day. They also have off-the-shelf boots as well and do repair work.
