At least one of the insurance companies I looked at and decided not to go with had specified, much higher deductibles for named storms.
Downstairs furnace ain't working and in "soft ignition lockout". Great, just great. Had the technician out early last week and they thought they fixed it. Have tried cycling several times and they cleaned the igniter with steel wool. Replaced air filter too. Unit is less than 2 years old. Thermostat down to 59

Our gas furnace issues turned out to be the gas valve on the incoming gas line. Unit is 10 years old. Gas valve was stuck closed so it wouldnt ignite. Started by replacing the igniter and the flame sensor.tamuags08 said:

Finally got a new gas valve in last week and it worked up until yesterday afternoon. Had the techs back out this morning and wouldnt you know it the ******* started magically working again.
I have very low hope it makes it through the next 3-4 days.
