As a professor, I've had a couple of students who were, uh, not academically inclined but who seemed hungry enough to make a name for themselves. I could certainly see her in that category.

I remember reading an article on the mid 2000's from a group trying to get "something major" in every state banned after him.

Not sure why, but that's my best guess.

I still laugh that the Grand Parkway has signs designating it the Mayor Bob Lanier Grand Parkway. I know he previously was on the Texas Highway Commission but i find it stupid that a highway that was built so you never have to enter Houston is named after a mayor of Houston.
