How does crap like this slip through and this guy not have to register as a sex offender? There are people who were peeing in an alley too close to a school who are registered sex offenders now but this guy isn't? It's like the Lakewood shooter, despite multiple complaints, violent arrests, mental health issues, somehow they slip through and legally buy a gun. We have the laws and regs in place to prevent this kind of crap in both instances, and somehow our government fails everyone again and we are left scratching our heads. We should just make murder illega, that will stop them…oh wait.

could have been that particular judge or maybe if there was a plea agreement, who knows. even if he was registered, i don't see how that would have mattered here. it's not as if this kind of trash living in a backwoods trailer is going to respect any sort of conditions he would have had.

It just blows my mind that these people not only allowed him in close proximity to this child, but tasked him with ferrying her to and from the bus.

I have been trying very hard not to judge these people, as they are going through the loss of their child, but it's not like he just plucked her out of obscurity. They allowed him to be around, and had him taking her to the bus.

It's pretty hard not to place a lot of the blame squarely on them.

Also, the warrant he was picked up on this weekend was for stabbing someone three times in August. Months ago.

There are about 2,000 people in Polk County. They could have found him if they gave a rat's ass. Instead, they let him go about his merry way.

Put him in the prison, leave his cell unlocked, make sure inmates know what he did, turn the cameras off, let things run its course. I don't have children and it makes me sick that someone could do this to a child
