Ogg has been objectively terrible. It is really hard for the public to understand how much she has harmed the DA's office and impacted public safety in the process. Murray is trying to explain it to you and just getting attacked for it.

I know Sean. He's a good guy and most of the posts on here virtue signaling conservative bona fides are frankly just sad. Not everything is a conspiracy, and not everyone who disagrees with conservative positions is the enemy. Sean would make a great DA.

LOL
From Sean's own website..."Why I'm running"
#1; "Fight for reproductive rights" and "Lobby hard against Republican laws that criminalize abortion."
....What does any of that have to do with being the District Attorney of one of the most populated counties in the nation, prosecuting crime, and holding an elected office that has ZERO say in legislation?
#2 "Lead on Gun Violence" and "Partner closely with community groups like Moms Demand Action"
.....Moms Demand is basically the 2024 version of '05-'08 Code Pink.
#3 "Ensure Second Chances for Those Who Deserve It"
.....Yes, because we have seen time and time again that giving criminals second, third, and fourth chances works great.
#4 Fixing Our Broken Cash Bail System" because "decisions about pretrial release or detention should be based on risk, not on the amount of wealth a defendant has"
....What is the current body count of folks that were killed in Harris County by predominantly minority offenders who killed other minorities after they were released from jail on minimal bond? I'm guessing we are well into double digits.
But sure.....it's all conservative virtue signaling and Sean is going to be a real crime fighter when he gets into office. Give me a friggin' break.

Oh hey, make light of child sexual abuse. Thats classy.
I didn't say Trump hurt me. I'm just not on board with voting for him for the same reasons that most people have who don't like him. I've got no interest in debating why I think he and his followers aren't worth debating. Especially not the ones hiding behind pseudonyms.
Actually, we're in the triple digits. Yeah for us.Quote:

so child abuse is bad, but you're okay with your boy Sean encouraging women to abort (MURDER) babies???? Typical Lib.Murray Newman said:

George Soros continues his massive spending in Texas, giving another $2.1M+ to the Texas Justice & Public Safety PAC earlier this month. That PAC reported spending over $1.5M over the last few weeks to help Harris County DA candidate Sean Teare. pic.twitter.com/2LyuWaicAO

I've written a blog on the Harris County Criminal Justice System since 2008 when I was supporting Kelly Siegler. If you want to see why I think Kim Ogg is the worst District Attorney the county has ever seen, here's a post on it. Apologies in advance, it's really long.

There's nothing legally dubious about it and churches (for better or worse) have been part of the political process for longer than any of us have been alive.
Although I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you probably aren't voting in the Democratic primary, on the off chance that you are, I'd offer the following for your consideration:
Sean Teare is a former prosecutor who spent the past several years at HCDA as the chief of vehicular crimes. His job was getting up in the middle of the night to go out to crime scenesinvolving intoxication manslaughter.to appear in front of the TV cameras looking high AF. He tried cases. He worked with victims and their families. He's promised to rebuild the office back into the reputable agency that it once was.
Kim Ogg has run all of the experience and talent out of that office. They are losing cases right and left that they should be winning. He is going to rebuild it with a focus on violent crime. I'm sorry if you don't like him but if you want a safer Houston, he's the far better choice over Ogg.
It's so much worse, at least on the law enforcement side of things. If you can move your parents out of Houston, do it and never look back.scd88 said:
I don't live in Houston but my parents still do and I am attached to it because I was born and raised there. I even worked as a court clerk in county courts 2 and 10 a couple years removed from graduating from A&M.
I would like to know the following:
How is fighting abortion law a primary campaign but for the DA?
What about reducing violent crime?
Pick an issue to be a hardass on that's not cash bail or abortion related. Talk about that.
Why do the optics suggest pandering to POC groups? Is that not enabling more criminal behavior rather than finding ways to reduce it?
The direction Houston and Harris County have taken is very pro crime and anti rules, quite frankly. What positives have come about in the democrat dominant reign of the politics here?
I'll hang up and listen.
The idea of @ReElectDAKimOgg holding herself out as “transparent” is like Vladimir Putin holding himself out as a champion of human rights. She fights every PIA request as if her life depended on it and lies to the Press.

Why do you care? Planning on voting in the Dem primary? Somehow, I doubt it.
We will see how it shakes out on Tuesday. I have a feeling Kimbra will be looking for a new job. We shall see.

Well, you've got a manpower shortage with HPD that led to them shelving thousands and thousands of cases and you've got a DA's Office that loses about 40% of the cases that they take to trial. It's not great.
Pretty sure that liberalism isn't the primary cause of it.
