Howdy howdy,

We are moving out of state to CO and are looking for some reputable companies to get quotes from. First time really moving a home filled with stuff and everything my wife reads online says this mover and that mover are terrible.

TIA

May want to post here, not sure if the Houston thread can help.

Good luck with the move.

Fogure out the value if your stuff, then figure out if the cost to move it is worth keeping. Else sell it, save on shipping and buy something new.

I had one driver more or less tell me uts probably just easier to bur all your **** and start over than move it.

No one goes online to post glowing reviews. Its all just complaints and whining, just remember that.

This is true. But I'd still avoid Transit Moving Systems

Cajun Movers moved us out of state and back. Highly recommend.

Used them back when they were just Navarre Movers. We only went 150 miles but they were great.

When I moved across the country I got rid of all but the really good stuff and started over. It was much cheaper and worked out a lot better moving less stuff on my own. Most people really don't need a lot of the **** they move with them. Your mileage may vary...

Having just moved for the first time with a full family and all our sheet, my only advice is to pony up for the most convenience possible. 5 years from now whatever delta of cost you might be mulling over will be long forgotten but the PIA you are about to embark on will still be there.

One of the few things I will pay the premium for moving forward. Wish I paid for the packing up etc. seriously. It freaking sucked.

For reference young-mid 30s fam with toddler and baby.

I would also highly consider this if it's in the realm of possibility. Was not a conversation worth having with my Aggie wife though lol

We recently did a corporate relocation from Houston to Albuquerque and it went smoothly, including a 2 week unload/storage until our new house closed. Beltmann was the coordinator and the guys on the Houston side were Ward north American.
