I remember the Apollos being a choice. Other than that I believe it was the Stallions

The Houston Texans polled better because stupid people didn't realize it sounded best because we say "Houston, Texas" frequently, like when giving or writing our address.

Los Angeles Californians, Phoenix Arizonans or Cincinnati Ohioans. Same ease of name. Clever? Not at all. Dumb.

I think the city would be ecstatic if we just bought out rights to the oilers. Our mascot/logo/unis etc are awful, worst in NFL. It is time.

The Houston Texans name and branding is a poor MBA project.

Not a huge fan of the current Texans uniforms, but they could always get much worse.

IMO the worst option would be bringing in 'H Town' blue as a secondary color after navy and red, which lands you with the same color palette as the Titans. That would be dumb.

none of those places have the pride or history that is associated with being a Texan.

I like the name, and I'm not even originally from Texas. its a unique state and people here are rightfully proud

Notwithstanding the requisite hatred of all things Bud, if the McNairs would give royalties to the Adams on merch sales with the Columbia Blue/Derrick scheme, they would both come out way better monetarily.

Yep, that's why the whole deal is so dumb. The Oilers brand is associated with Houston football history and culture and would make so much money in Houston.

Easy win-win for everyone, Houston fans celebrate their heritage and the Adams' can make a lot more money.

The entire Texans franchise looks like something designed by AI.

Watching an excellent win for Dan Campbell and Detroit's first playoff win in 30 years reminded me of the Luv Ya blue crowd at the Astrodome with Bum's kicking in the door quote. Good bull, Detroit.

I think a lot of people were just excited by the challenging artistic potential of hearing Clay Walker put those two words together in song.
