Interesting. I rember it was going to be a whole foods 365 when they announced it but then they did away with that concept mid construction (same time they converted the Yale St 365 to a whole foods)z. It was never busy but I enjoyed that when I needed a quiet lunch or would grocery shop there on lunch break. This where an old (but revived) HEB Pantry model would thrive in.

Pretty much unaffordable for families, but the DINKS don't plan far enough ahead to buy real amounts of groceries. I don't know if this is normal, but the lines are always long, and nobody has a real amount of food. Maybe if they added overpriced gas or a car wash...or 10% off if you bring a child in the store...

60% off food and 50% off alcohol today/Sunday. I loaded up. Place was a zoo but I got over $200 of stuff for less than $100. Only scraps remain on the shelves

I just don't think that part of town has enough money-is -no-object West U, Med Center, or Memorial moms to buy legit amounts of groceries there. That location may have just been a convenience store for millennial and Gen Zers. Idk. I have no idea how Starbucks stays in business either.

I get that, but even if you line up people around the block and they just keep handing you $5 bills every 30 seconds, you still have to pay the ant farm behind the counter and the rent on the real estate. Like I said, IDK.

I think the whole thing is a Colombian money laundering operation.

Actually more than I expected. I got True Anomaly, some Belgians, Martin House, mead- but the beer aisles were thinning. 50% off beer was worth it. Lots of wine was available but not sure about today.

Just Google mapped - didn't realize they'd cleared out those three area blocks. Nothing stays the same. That Krogers used to be good people watching at closing time.
