I guess my question was more about the first Sunday. It is tejano as well. Is that a new thing, or just the way the schedule worked out this time? Are the first two sundays now designated tejano days?

I took my kids to the free admission day for the carnival amd livestock show or whatever the special was and it wasn't bad as long as you know you're going to leave when the crowds show up. Most of the poors don't get out of bed early enough to be there at gate opening time.

Gotcha. The first Sunday is a regular day, the performer just happens to sing mostly in Spanish. Apparently he's the hottest thing in Mexican music right now.

We used the call the first Sunday Disney Day because it was always a teen performer like Jonas Bros, Bieber, Hannah Montana, etc.

The worst was the 2nd Saturday around 9-10 years ago when the ticket system went down for about an hour. 2nd Saturday for whatever reason is always one of the most crowded days, but that night, once word got out that you could get in for free while the system was down, hordes of people came flooding in from every direction. It was insane.

I just listen to some of his songs on album. Wow he is good on the guitar and can sing. Very good music even if you can't understand the lyrics. I might have to go check him out.

Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson are as hot as it gets in country right now, and Hardy is right behind them. I don't care much for them, but tons of people do.

Otherwise great post. Most people don't know what all goes into it. They say, "they should have got this person" when they probably tried and they were busy, couldn't make any of the dates work, and some tell the rodeo to F off.

People are going to complain no matter what. People say they are tired of the same acts every year and they completely change it up and then people complain that it's all new acts instead of the same ones that usually come.

Jon Pardi has one show for all of March….you telling me he wouldn't have come again if asked? Same with Stapleton….1 concert booked in March per both of the artists websites. I don't buy it.

Stapleton was just here, and is playing here again this summer. Jon Pardi played a concert here a week ago as part of the national championship stuff. Most artists have a thing where if they play in area, they can't play there for a certain amount of time.

Like a courtesy?

The venues they sign contracts with.

Just out of curiosity, how do the kids get mutton bustin spots that far ahead of time? I always just sort of assumed the kids who participated in the show were picked from the daytime mutton bustin that any kid can participate in.

For the kids that do the mutton Bustin in the arena, there is an application process, I think it's during the summer, and if you get picked, you are assigned a specific night.

Wow, couldn't get 2 tickets together for Jelly Roll. Was in the waiting room and when it was my turn, they were sold out.

Then I went to see out of curiosity availability for Oliver Anthony and surprise, surprise, tickets available in all price levels.

I listen to the Jelly Roll testimonial the other day. Dudes come a long way

The ticketing system is becoming a joke. I got marked as a bot because I tried to change the tickets it was giving me, of course that would not be a problem if you could see the available tickets like you did before. They gave me a message to contact customer service. I did and they are saying that I can not use a mac to buy tickets need to move to their app or a different device. lol

Six minutes into the second set and tickets are sold out for shows lol

AXS still hasn't worked all the bugs out of the system. I'm guessing they did the staggered sale times to lessen the pressure on the servers since they usually crash from the demand.

Something else that isn't advertised is that a majority of the stadium is sold out before it gets to the general sale. You'll see people complaining about how scalpers got all the good seats when those seats were never available to begin with.

Committee members pre-sale started on Tuesday 1/16/24. I'm sure many committee members know they can get tickets for the good shows in pre-sale, have them posted on StubHub the same day, and make a good profit. See the previous post about someone not being able to get 2 together for Jelly Roll. StubHub currently has 1000+ pairs of ticket for sale currently.

Most of the lower levels are taken through season tickets before volunteers get a shot.

And volunteers pinky promise not to resell.

Correct. For the volunteer presale, the only thing available is 500s and 600s. There may be some singles here and there in the lower levels on some nights, but that's it.

Anyone have a parking pass for the night of 3/6 for sell?

My main gripe is you can only pick individual seats by section then leave out each section and go back to see a different one.

Where do I start?
1) the app is never correct on my my tickets, their status, the number, etc. only the website.
2) I can't log onto the website from my work computer. Not a problem on literally any other website.
3) even on my personal computer, half the time I can't log into the website.
4) when I finally can log in, I get error messages because the website thinks I am a bot.
5) it is impossible to compare tickets in different sections. You literally have to click on each individual section to see anything.

I can keep going, but my point is that none of those issues exist on stubhub. The website is terrible.

Can't speak to rodeo tickets but I was trying to buy a single Lyle Lovett ticket at red rocks last summer. Their piece of **** website kept telling me that I couldn't buy the ticket cause it was leaving a single seat left even though it was the only unsold ticket on the entire row. After waiting on hold like 30 minutes the guy on the other end tried to claim it was the venue's fault.

100% agree with all of this.

I'm thinking about splurging and buying a couple Action Seats for one of the shows. Does that area still come with free food & water/sodas? It has probably been 15 years since I've sat there. Does anyone know what type of food/snacks comes with the seats?
