I think the genre announcement is dumb. We already know there is going to be tejano day, black heritage day, a pop, a rock, and about 12-14 "country" days. What else is there to announce?

1) Bulid Excitement w/ genre calendar
2) Announce a few artist that are a bit underwhelming
3) Release performer calendar with the same 50% of the stale performers as the last 5 years
4) Promise new performers next year
5)......
6) Repeat steps 1-4 in 2025

Jelly Rollis my guess, that guy is huge right now for some reason. Koe Wetzel is almost as bad as Parker McCollum.
Blackberry Smoke would be cool, but don't think they are anywhere near popular enough for HLSR. The cookoff stage is about their speed.

The San Antone Rodeo entertainment reminds me of that person in fantasy drafts who pick the players that haven't been relevant for 2-3 years but whose name sounds good.
