Planning to see Oppenheimer I'm guessing? I know nothing about film...what are the benefits of 70mm, as opposed to whatever we have here in the tine?

I don't believe the screen size at Tomball Regal is true IMAX. The IMAX screen at Edwards Marq'E is true IMAX, but they do not have a 70mm projector.
The only theatre in Houston with a 70mm "regular size" showing is AMC Gulf Pointe 30. This is the best option to see Oppenheimer in the tine.

Is the Marqee IMAX down for repair or something? Looking on Regal's site for it, there are no movies showing in that theater.

Yes, that part of the theater is closed for renovations

Probably just watch it in my backyard. You know.
Idk know nolan insists on shooting his movies in a format that like 300 people on earth can access.
I'd like to see it the way he intended, and the way he explains it makes perfect sense for why he chooses that format.
But at the same time, I'm not driving any further than my favorite AMC, so I'll just have to see what formats they have it in. The variety of formats available today kind of annoys me, even though I know that variety should be a good thing in theory.
