Update: I think I have this sorted, but any advice is still appreciated!

Howdy!

I'm going be in the Galveston/Clear Lake area at the end of August and need boarding for my dog. He's almost 4 years old, fixed, had all of his shots, and is friendly.

If y'all have any recommendations for boarding kennels between Galveston and Clear Lake, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Probably doesn't help much now since you got it sorted, but you may talk to the local police department, find out what vet treats their police dogs, and then see if that vet can board. It's tough with a GSD, but that's what we did with ours, and the vet was great with that kind of dog, and it was never a problem.

We take our golden to Playful Paws in Kemah. Not cheap, but he loves it and we feel comfortable with them. Only complaint is whatever shampoo they use on him sucks. We used to get bathed the day we pick him up, but not anymore.

Have friends that use Bayside bed and biscuit and are happy. My parents used The Sea Dog Inn back when their dog was alive and always liked it.

Clear Lake Kennels on Hwy 3 always took good care of my dog-aggressive, overactive GSD. They were willing to turn him out in his run only when all the other dogs had been put up after bathroom breaks so he wasn't triggered.

RIP in peace bud.
