The person described by RTT is in some kind of crisis. Who knows what. I see a lot of people whose life expectations have gotten way out of line with reality, and really struggling with acceptance.

The government paid a lot of people to do nothing. Many of those people feel more entitled than they did before.
I think it is a community problem that is exacerbated in urban/suburban environments. If people cared about their family reputations that would clean up behavior but a lastname means little these days. If people feared the repercussions of repeated interactions after poor behavior that would clean up behavior. If businesses weren't worried about "protected" class of people or a twitter mob wreaking havoc on their business they could help nip this problem too.

Throw in a dash of self centeredness and selfishness and a whole lot of narcissism due to social media age mix it with an everybody wins culture and finally top it off with a bit of victimhood and entitlement, and you're seeing what leads to people acting this way. I dont reckon its going to get any better until people are started to be told no and given the proverbial smack on the nose with a newspaper like a bad dog. If there is no behavior correction, people will continue this bs and it will only get worse.
I totally agree with you...I just have personally noticed more psychos coming out of the wood work since the Covid sh**. Probably affected the type of person mentioned in Ryan's post above the most....I'd bet dollars to donuts that she is white, 45-50+, single and lonely, and that she would score worse on a psych eval now than she would have in February or 2020. There are many factors, but this type of stuff seems to have increased in frequency since early 2020.
