There are a lot of Indians who eat beef. You couldn't say that Himalaya isn't an Indian restaurant, and their best dish is their beef pastrami.
Also, I believe the sign on the front of the building at Aga's says they are Indopak, and their Pakistani grilled meats are probably the best things they have.

Interesting. I have never been to an Indian restaurant that serves beef… they must have all been Hindus. (**edited**) OR CHRISTIANS.

There are hundreds of millions of Christian Indians.

my church has a bunch of telegu Indians. one of our pastors is telegu, raised in India, but his family has been Lutheran for generations. he's a funny dude. the Telegu people that drink, drink like fish.

They went to Agas last night and my son loved it. Thank you for the recommendations!

I went to Aga's today with a friend just because of this thread. Damn good food. Chicken lollipops, grilled goat chops (fantastic), and Chicken Kabab Peshawari Karahi. Outstanding service. Manager heard me say "first time here" and he pretty much gave us the VIP service. Huge place. They can feed 700 people in one seating. Will return often.

Nothing here is really a selling point.

Next time I get a scammer who wants to reverse Apple.com charges, I'll just ask which places his cousin who came to houston on a visa recommends.

You roll up to Aga's at 9pm on a Sunday night you'd think you were in Islamabad just pulling up to this place. Your hypothetical guy would probably send you here. Although I always thought Aga's was a Paki place and that they had beef with the Indians? I wouldn't expect to see so many devout Muslims at a true Indian place. But they definitely are largely Indian on the menu…chicken tikka masala, biryani etc.

Need to check that out. Was always a fan of Darban Shish Kabob on Hillcroft but that was my only go to.

Is London Sizzler still any good? Used to go for lunch when I worked in Westchase. Haven't been in 5+ yrs though.
