What are some cool corporate fun summer type outings? We do this as an office every year - have done Astros games, top golf, axe throwing, etc. Alcohol is encouraged.

I've thrown out the pedal party bike on a bar thing, pickle ball, one other person found some type of dart bar where you drink and throw darts.

Needs to be in the greater Tine area, preferably downtown or thereabouts. Just looking for ideas that are different than the norm.

Socially distanced whiskey tasting.

By socially distanced I mean everyone gets company provided whisky delivered to their own house so they can enjoy it without being subjected to a work party.

Meh, I usually don't look forward to them...then end up having a pretty solid time. Small office, everybody likes to drink, and even for engineers, most aren't all that bad.

10-15 at the most. Thought about an escape room, but ehh, not sure if that would be good or not TBH.

This. Rules out boozing before or during, but so much fun to try and get your co-worker in some friendly competition without being overly confrontational.

Ive had a few corporate outings at Lucky Strike Downtown, now called 810 Billiards and Bowling. Its like an upscale bowling alley with food and drinks. Wasnt bad for a corporate outing. Ive also had a few at Dave and Busters, wouldnt be my first choice but still had a good time there lol.

If alcohol is encouraged hit up Saint Arnold's, Karbach, or Buffalo Bayou and have beer and appetizers lined up. Instead of paying extra for some "fun" just pay for their Uber to and from so everyone can enjoy as much beer as possible. Most of the breweries have seltzers and wine now too.

New place down off Allen Parkway called the Flight Club. Basically an upscale Darts Bar/Restaurant.

Been wanting to go for a couple of weeks.

Have done Flight Club in London with my UK team...taking the Houston team to the new one on Thursday.

Everyone seems to love it...they have fun games that anyone can play with cameras showing feedback & automatic scoring and the food/beer setup is like top golf.

Top Golf or bowling alley. Basically a bar/restaurant with an activity as optional. And I stress optional.

I own Cool Bus Houston party bus and we have done various things for company outings. Our bus can seat 16 adults comfortably. One of my favorite itineraries started by picking up the group from their office and then doing a BBQ, Brewery and Bourbon tour. We've also done outings down in Galveston, winery tours and brewery/bar hopping. Another unique idea during the springtime is a Crawfish tour where we could drive around to different restaurants and try different styles of crawfish.

Years ago i worked for an UK company located in Houston.
They asked me for a suggestion for an "away day" as they called them
My recommendation was for more individualized activities. If you wanted to golf then you golfed. Shopping, drinking, movie whatever you wanted to do you did. Next day you could tell people what you did if you wanted to.

They said that just sounded like a day off.

Last time I was there, they sell beer, but track how much you're drinking.

We just hit up the crappy Mexican food place across the parking lot a head of time.

If I had to go to a work outing where I had to pedal a giant bar with fatties not carrying their weight, it would remind me too much of work.

Those pedal things look like the opposite of fun IMO. Definitely wouldn't go.
