Thanks! I'm assuming this is more accurate since they are actual coordinates? I'm in SW Houston. The originally published flight path shows them flying directly over the SW corner of Loop 610 near Meyerlad Plaza. The map with these coordinates shows them crossing the south loop near Main/90, which is several miles East of the original path map.

be aware, i am not associated with the museum, nor this flyover project. i mapped the flight plan that is on flight aware, which is probably the flight plan they've filed. if it winds up being inaccurate compared to the actual flight path, i apologize

Saw them a few minutes ago from Montrose. Pretty cool. Only problem with two flyovers a few days apart is that my 3 year old now expects airplanes every day.

So, has that new flight aware map been pretty accurate? Because we took the boat out to Kemah (based on the original map), but it doesn't look like they are going that far east.

Edit: They flew pretty far east, over The Boardwalk area. They were too high to see much of anything, though.

Yeah, we about split the difference, and were in the water just west of the bridge. We saw them, but like I said above, they were high. We watched them go south to Dickenson and then turn back to the north.

Kinda fun to chase a bunch of planes on a boat, though.

kinda looks like an e-4b

flyover didn't work too well for me

was supposed to be about a mile north of my house in mo city, so i drove to a park in the path. but they wound up going about a mile south of where i live. still saw them, just dots in the distance. oh well,, seen them all several times at wingsoverhouston, oshkosh, or similar

We were at Cy Fair HS. Flew right over us. Still, kinda disappointing overall. Agree they were too high.

They were flying at 1900ft according to flightaware. We had the opposite problem with the Blue Angels, they were too low to see unless you were right under the flight path. I am sure it is a balance between being high enough for a wider area to see, and low enough to see more detail.

I thought the same thing. Looked at it with binoculars and it was painted green with a logo I didn't recognize.

Couldnt tell it was green from my vantage. Did it look like this? Its been bugging me all day so I looked for similar paint schemes

Agreed on the "wish they would have flown lower" sentiments here.

We live at the corner of 99 and westpark (approx.). The P-51 and its buddy, along with the B-25 blew right past the specified turn at 99 and westpark. Everyone else turned where the map said they should.

It actually benefited me as they flew right over my house before they turned back.

They were doing that the entire time. Flew faster than the rest of the group. so they would circle at one waypoint, catch up, go past and circle, repeat.

They were also the last three planes to take off. I watched the whole flight take off just north of Ellington. The rest of the flight was staggered on the runway with engines running before these three had even cranked up. I thought they might have scrubbed but they took off just as I was about to leave.
