In all fairness, no one dies of "old-age". You die from cancer, heart failure, or Alzheimer's. Now we can add coronavirus to that list.

And pneumonia, and the flu, and a myriad of other things....
I just don't understand why we aren't immortal.

Not sure of the accuracy, but I've heard from multiple people that Abbott is strongly considering a statewide 2 week stay at home order on Friday.
True...I guess he's tried to straddle the line and just ended up pissing off both sides. I know personally my frustration is growingcajunaggie08 said:
Perhaps, but his approval numbers on his handling of the virus is sitting at 40%. It was at 60% back in April. He has managed to piss off everyone with his non-action followed by action.
ipening bars isn't an f up, there is a very large element of personal responsibility that we are passing off to the governmentcone said:
I think Abbott is doing a pretty good job with the hand he's been dealt
opening bars being the only major f up
Well, punishing the entire state because of the protests, riots, and giant funeral did kind of piss a lot of people off, especially not mentioning that as a reason the numbers were going up.cajunaggie08 said:

How damn hard is it to not make a public health crisis political for any of these MFers?Ag_07 said:
I saw Sly on the Today Show this morning beating the drum of 'When you open too fast this is what happens'
When this first started, I thought he handled things well while Dora was the one pushing fear porn. Now, Sly has decided to do the same thing for some reason. Are his donors pissed they didn't get a big enough slice of the NRG hospital pie and want more? Does Dora have more details of his relationship with Airport Intern?Ag_07 said:

This was supposed to happen Monday...Then it was Tuesday...Then now Friday.
fwiw, I think 07 wasn't coming for you personally. Just commenting on the frustration that its been a rumor all weekend and into this week that a shutdown is coming but nobody knows when. I heard from a family member last night that works for the county that there is a rumor we were reverting back to phase one sometime this week. Hard to know what the hell is going to happen, but that has been the mantra throughout this entire virus.David_Puddy said:Ag_07 said:David_Puddy said:

Can you read? I said not sure of the accuracy. And you're an idiot if you believe him shutting things back down for 2 weeks is all that far fetched.
