Saw that the Jason's deli at 2 allen center is on a permanent vacation. Anyone know why? it was always busy during lunch.

Things that make you go hmmmm.
Had the pleasure of meeting Joe in college - super nice guy. Started selling sandwiches out of his dad's shoe shop and turned it into a huge business.Water Turkey07 said:Joe's son is Jay. Jay + Son is how they got Jason's.IDaggie06 said:Quote:

All of the downstairs of 2 and 3 Allen are about to go through a remodel, so everything has to go.drwong said:
I got an email blast from Jason's Deli saying it would be permanently closed. Saw a sign yesterday that the Amelie's Coffee in Three Allen is closing too.
I'd like to hear more about your personal relationships.Redstone said:

Haven't eaten at Jason's deli since college. Is it still disgusting?

I enjoy it. Sorry it's not up to your snobby Panera standards.

Wimpy's is great. Owner is great and very attentive.Stat Monitor Repairman said:
Y'all try out Wimpy's burger. Street level under the Hyatt garage @ 632 Polk Street.
You can get to it via the tunnel system coming out inside the Hyatt lobby, out near the valet, around the corner. So your on the street sweating balls time is at a mimimum. If you know where Benihana's is it's right in that area.
I'm pretty sure it's owner operated, Been there for a long time. The dude makes a real solid burger basket.
Anyway, thought I send the dude a shoutout.
