Anyone know much about this development? I can find a lot about the course and neighborhood plan but not much about homes in the neighborhood?

Have there been many built yet? How much are lots and what price range can you build on a residential lot ( non cottage lot)?

Anyone know how much the membership is and monthly dues for full family membership?

If you have to ask on here?

I'd be willing to bet that most people who could afford to live there:

a) don't have to worry to much about how much it costs to live there

and

b) are smart enough to find the answer to those questions on their own without having to ask a message board.

OP sounds like neither.

Memberships are invitation only, and homesites other than the cottage homes are custom. Sounds like they don't want people to know what it costs to live there, and sounds like OP isn't in the know enough to find out

I took the tour a year ago so this might be dated but initiation with a lot purchase was $90K and maybe just over $100K without. I was told the clubhouse would be online in 2018 but I don't think they've even started it. That doesn't sound so good.

One of the original builders left and told me there just wasn't enough activity to justify the number of lots he was required to inventory.

I heard it was Golfweek's #1 Residential Golf Community in Texas, #11 in the nation, is a private club and resort-style community located on 755-acres of rolling hills in Montgomery, Texas, and is home to the only Tiger Woods-designed golf course in the United States.

It's nice. Very few homes to date, but lots of cottages. My neighbor is building the big one behind 10 green. Would not expect a usable clubhouse this year.

Why do you think it hasn't gone according to plan. I know it was initially scheduled with higher oil prices but other high end clubs haven't seemed to develop as slowly.

Name one? All high end clubs in Texas are moving slow vs projected goals.

I should have said not all clubs in that price range are struggling. Some are of course. Having a high end club funded by a RE development rather than ownership probably isn't the best model.

Bingo! But most of them are the former these days.

I think it was early 2000's another RE company got Tiger involved in a project in North Carolina and it went belly up.

I talked to some guys in our locker room sunday who were taking the tour and playing golf with the membership guy. They said they had taken the tour and played Bluejack the week before and were told there is no current plan for a clubhouse.

Clubs are finally learning that golf is not a growth enterprise.

Found this thread randomly today, so figured I'd chime in since I played BJN today. The course, service and overall experience is unlike any other. The place is simply amazing. Breaking ground on the clubhouse this week for those of you that were concerned about that. Approx 200 members, so about half full.

A lot of cottages and houses being built, seems to really be taking off. Sounds like it's mostly weekend homes, not a lot of full time residents.

First class experience, go play it if you ever get a chance, you won't be disappointed!

Heard rumors of being able to book cottages up there that come with access to the course.

Any truth?

Yeah I know what you are talking about, Napmaster08. I just got done playing a week at Augusta National, lot of changes coming to that course for The Masters next year.

Wasn't that a public course 20 years ago? Looking at the map, I remember driving from CS to play golf somewhere down there. I remember the greens fees being cheap and there never being any people.
