I had a case where the PM was 21 and female, and a former Miss Nebraska contestant. Needless to say, harassment was a big part of the case.

Maybe because, at least in my business, people work their asses off for well over 10 years, usually 15+, to get that title, and they are highly knowledgeable.

Even a small project has so many nuances to building something correctly. Construction Science majors don't walk out and get a CM job without training and experience.

I don't think it is unusual to see a young, ex-college athlete getting a job title that others work years for due to their network.

It's a title. Construction companies have different names for the same position. What may be a Construction Superintendent at one company could be a Builder, or Field Manager, or Construction Manager, or Project Engineer, or Project Manager at another.

Depends on the industry. In some commercial (usually light or commercial remodel types) and residential a PM is about like being a VP at a bank. Several guys i graduated with had the PM title right out of the gate, but they were home builders.

Heavy civil, large commercial, industrial, etc- takes a while before you get there.

I am not sure I've seen her less than half naked. And I"m not complaining.

But she's Mexican. Mexican is not a derogatory term, and people saying "Spanish" because they think saying Mexican is somehow racist or derogatory are annoying.
