I was always under the impression that media only pays for the top end talent. There's a reason turnover is high and personalities are always looking for the next gig elsewhere.
I had heard similar. They know they don't have to pay most people top dollar because its a TV gig... if they dont want to take the money theres 100 people behind them willing for their chance
Depends how much they're on air, how long they've done it, how much of a fan following they have (hence all the social media striving), etc. There's no reason to think a familiar on-air personality can't afford to eat and drink at the same places as 25-year old O&G ballers.
Also, I forgot some of them have secondary incomes from event appearances as emcees or hosts, or corporate voiceover work. It's not unreasonable to think that a lot of the familiar names are over six figures.
also, let's not forget that attractive women (and men?) are generally able to live above their means at no cost to them.
