I know a station GM who told me in confidence that a lot of their contract negotiations are based on the number of blue stars their pics get on Texags. So, um, I think you know what to do, ladies.

I believe chief meteorologists like Billingsly will be in the range of $100k as will primetime anchors. Daytime obviously less, as would those who don't really do anything that require skill...
Of course, it depends on the station and market. Houston is market 7. I'd guess talent that is on a main show would make at least 50-70k -- starting. After a few years, that pay will go up. On-air talent typically makes more than off-air.
I believe chief meteorologists make much more than $100k. Stations use them as faces of the brand.

I find it hard to believe a traffic girl on local news makes 6 figures. I'm guessing they are in the 60-80k range.
I was always under the impression that media only pays for the top end talent. There's a reason turnover is high and personalities are always looking for the next gig elsewhere.
