The radar shows a lot of yellow in the gulf coming our way. The weatherman got the timing wrong but still looks like a lot of rain.

Honestly I'm more worried for tomorrow morning and afternoon when this thing is in North/East TX.

If the timing is just right we could be getting the last couple rain bands at the same time we're getting upstream runoff.

Already have people calling in because of weather. People that don't have ability to work from home and live a few miles from office. Some times it feels like I'm running a daycare.

The storm slows, grows dramatically overnight, and turns South leaving us in the wake of the outer bands still growing in the Gulf, which you can clearly see in radar rotating towards us:

Yes it will rain and yes, there is a good chance for flooding but my lord, the news is acting like we have a cat 5 storm heading our way. In the grand scheme of things this isn't that bad. If not for all the rain we had a few weeks ago no one would even give this storm a second thought.

It's been forecasted by almost everyone to occur over the next 24 - 48 hours. I'm not a science guy...but I don't think just because it hasn't rained yet wherever you are means that it's not going to rain quite a bit throughout the area.

But for a more particular answer to your question, it has been raining pretty hard on and off for the last 2 hours at my home and office in the Heights and White Oak Bayou was pretty high 2 hours ago.

Welllll....yeah. But we did have it.

Hey the reporter-geeks/networks love this ***** like Ketch likes clicks. It's true they almost always WAY overreact. Ratings, baby, then self-congratulatory BS ads for weeks. It's ridiculous.

I ignore and/or laugh at them.

It is possible to follow the storm and take it seriously without being lumped in with....them.

Hell, I wouldn't be TOO cocky in Dallas and maybe Austin, per NWS.
