The National Weather Service predicts 3 to 6 inches of rain, widespread, with higher isolated totals of 7 to 10 inches. These are prudent estimates, but they are just that. It's plausible that parts of Houston get less than 2 inches, but if the storms continue into Wednesday we could also see totals greater than 10 inches.
