16 weeks behind. Some was absurd rejections from the city
Absolutely Shocking
Oh one of my rejections I think might be in the hall of fame and would make even most city officials cringe.
I had a city planner tell me and I quote "what moron failed you for this"?
- Your plans were originally submitted on 7/25/14. They were rejected for various reasons that were included in the comments, which I am happy to post for you.
- Plans were picked up by the applicant on 8/13/14.
- Plans were not resubmitted until 9/18/14
- Plans were rejected by Traffic for missing information on the plans, but your sidewalk variance was approved
- Plans were rejected by Structural for fire safety issues and plan set deficiencies
- Plans were picked up by applicant on 10/10/14
- Plans were resubmitted on 10/24/14 and approved on 10/27/14
- Plans were picked up by applicant on 10/28/14
Total City Days: 43
Total Applicant Days: 52
Yes we have already discussed all this over the phone 3 separate times and got it squared away...you were very helpful. One of the main issues was one of the depts was trying to make us put in an internal sprinkler system but that's another story and I'm not talking about the permitting process.
The specific instance I'm talking about was a failed inspection. It's a long story but the planner saw the rejection and basically rolled his eyes that we got shut down a week something he considered ridiculous and was the cities fault. We were just giving each other a hard time and joking about it considering all the setbacks this job had. I came real close to calling you on that one but I know you're busy. Now if it happens again...you bet your ass I'm picking up the phone.
