Well, it was curious. Because the lady said she was driving from Tampa back home to Austin and had not heard about the storm... and she was looking down at her GPS and did not see the barricade and went head long into 15 feet of standing water...

It doesn't explain why she was on Allen Parkway when she was heading to Austin...

Yes we have already discussed all this over the phone 3 separate times and got it squared away...you were very helpful. One of the main issues was one of the depts was trying to make us put in an internal sprinkler system but that's another story and I'm not talking about the permitting process.

The specific instance I'm talking about was a failed inspection. It's a long story but the planner saw the rejection and basically rolled his eyes that we got shut down a week something he considered ridiculous and was the cities fault. We were just giving each other a hard time and joking about it considering all the setbacks this job had. I came real close to calling you on that one but I know you're busy. Now if it happens again...you bet your ass I'm picking up the phone.

No I was there for the inspection. It was for the fire wall on the back of the home. I kept it together but came very close to coming unhinged but restrained due to that being an inspection early in the process and didn't want to affect future inspections. (Even though they are different depts)

Not only that but the inspector couldn't even read the plans...and for some reason even admitted as much as we were standing there.

I'd be happy to tell you the whole sequence if you want to give me a call now that we have completely derailed our precious flooding thread.
