Got free tickets to a play at the Alley Theatre. Found a babysitter & turning it into a full-on date night. Thinking dinner at Brennan's of Houston? I saw they offer a shuttle to & from the shows which would offer a great deal of convenience.

Show is 8pm on a Friday night.

Any other restaurant recs? Never been to Brennan's but heard good things. Also, dress code for Alley Theatre? The one time I went to a play in Houston I saw a lot of people dressed much more casual than I would have expected.

It's Houston, people are always dressed more casually than they should be.

I'd definitely wear a jacket to Brennan's, but then there will be people on this board that will advocate, "Mayne, one time I was at Mark's during restaurant week and all I wore was my Arian Foster jersey and some cargo shorts and those pretentious snobs were looking down on me! F those snobs! My mama loves me and that's all that matters!"

You might try Artisan's in mid-town (a Tine board sponsor). Or Ibiza.

I've also valet'd and eaten at Sambuca and thought that was terrifically convenient.

Franks, just a few blocks down Prairie. Nothing beats sporting a grease stain on your pressed shirt after a few slices of the meat-special.
