Yes, Boudreaux between GleannLoch Forest Drive and FM 2920 will basically be the two-lane westbound frontage road.

Segments F-1, F-2 and G (from US 290 to US 59) are slated for completion around December of 2015.

Police called to a house in GLF. Schools are locked down.

Not crime related but I've heard two people tell me that gleannlock is full of swingers.

I've heard GLF is a BIG cuckolding neighborhood. White women up there love getting torn up by dark meat.

I wasn't assuming that it would become a traffic monster, merely concerned about the additional traffic on the road as people begin to discover it. There are also no turn lanes for those making right turns into the neighborhood off of CFD, coupled with the 3 traffic lights and the amount of new homes being built in the north of GLF I can see it becoming more congested then it is now.

But then I'm not a traffic engineer which is why I was asking.

I'm looking forward to the GP and the 249 Aggie Toll way being finished so my trips to Aggieland in the fall will be super fast.

Police were not called to a GLF house yesterday...there was an attempted break-in across Boudreaux Rd in Cottage Gardens or Sugar Berry and police chased a man into the wooded area between the elementary school (and my house!) and Boudreax Road. The school was locked down as a precaution and plenty of police officers were inside very quickly.

Ok, the school was locked down. My mistake. The crime was across the street from GLF.

RachAg03, this is my regular handle on here. The other one crashed and burned after thinking I would use that to introduce my school board campaign to Klein voters on here. It went comically bad.

And I heard today from a source that yesterday's events stemmed from a routine traffic stop. The person that was pulled over had a warrant out for arrest and fled his vehicle after stopping. I don't believe it was from an attempted break-in.

Why aren't there any straight lines or curves on the GP? It looks sloppily put together.

In fact it will look quite embarrassing when shown on a roadmap.

There are both straight lines (tangents) and horizontal curves, as with any roadway. Not sure what you are referring to?

I must have missed the crash and burn, haha! Oh and by the way, my mom came around the corner yesterday, and just like my son she panicked because she thought our house was for sale. Really? No idea why she would think we'd put our house up for sale and not tell her. LOL.

Yeah, I get that... over shorter spans. Look at the overall project and tell me that makes sense.

It makes perfect sense. The alignment is trying to minimize the amount of eminent domain the State has to purchase, or acquire. This is basically a huge retrofit project. Still not entirely sure what you are getting at.

This is probably not current. The map link that was posted on here earlier looked even worse. This damn thing just seems to meander aimlessly. Sure, it loops around the city, but come on. I just don't understand how TXDOT couldn't have done a better job with the alignment given its eminent domain rules. Lets build something that is efficient at least.

Basically, the land is cheaper to buy where nothing has been built yet. There is also less impact on peoples homes. There is a surprising amount of logic that goes into the schematic of a road. On top of that, don't even try to take out a trailer park instead of a decent subdivision or you will get nailed for environmental justice.

Cost is king, but wetlands and other stuff comes into play.

On the other hand, I know the guy that prepared the schematic for GP E, F, & G and he is a SIP, so that may be why it is messed up.

So this winds up being an embarrassment due to lack of planning?

Not sure what is so difficult to understand about the route of the Grand Parkway. It's pretty obvious to most. Totally opposite of the lack of planning InnerCityAg is trying to pin on the GP.

Yeah, the planners should have just rammed it through neighborhoods and wetlands to make a pretty circle.

Another very important criteria is crossing existing roads at right angles so you don't end up with skewed intersections.

Since when did txdot start caring about wetlands? Didn't they just drain one off of I-10 and kill thousands of fish, alligators and beavers?

That was a retention pond not a wetland
