The best part of Fred and AJ's broadcast is when they talk about things other than sports. It's absolutely ridiculous that they let AJ interview MMA guys.

I can't take Fred and AJ anymore. AJ is so damned butthurt it's unlistenable.

What I gathered from his twitter is that it was one disgruntled listener.

Sports radio listeners take things so personally.

I sat next to Ted Johnson on Monday at lunch at the Egg and I by Memorial City Mall actually. It was weird, I didnt know who he was, but knew he was likely an ex-football player just by his stature.

After I sat down in the booth next to his, the first thing I heard was him answer the phone and say "Hey, Dat Nguyen...whats up!" and I knew I had to figure out who it was. I kinda eavesdropped a little trying to figure it out, and he said that his co-host Fred read a Haiku last Wednesday on the air that he was very uncomfortable with, and they fired him for it.

I was coming on here just to see if anyone was talking about it. Pretty weird situation it sounded like. I wasnt trying to creep on the guy, I just had to figure out who he was since he was talking on the phone to Dat. Sounded like Dat was asking who was going to be taking his spot. Maybe he is interested in coming down from Dallas???

I think Dat is in SA...

Have no clue what was read. Listened to them that night. Just know he was gone when tuned in next time.

We have very different tastes.

Straw has a nice southern view. Isn't as polished as a few others but doesn't try too hard.

Who was that other loser that used to be on the morning show as the producer/sidekick who moved to Phoenix? That guy was terrible also.

I miss the old 610 and original 1560. All these guys suck because no station will develop an identity and keep shuffling the deck chairs.

Best part of all of this is Pallilo staying on until 7. Perfect for the evening commute.

Not sure how anyone can listen to Pallilo for more than 2 minutes. He's the absolute worst in a market filled with horrible options.

With that said, I think Lance is probably the best option and as long as he's around I think he could he could be paired with anyone who isn't horrible and it'd work. I liked him and Clanton, but as said before Clanton was 2 nd fiddle and didn't really add much. Matt Thomas isn't my favorite but I think the two of them will work out alright.

An extra hour of Pallilo is nice. Didn't care for Adam Clanton. They had Adam Wexler fill in during the break which I enjoyed. Too bad they couldn't find a slot for him again.

Not sure how Lance and Matt Thomas will do together. It seems like a weird match but we'll see.

Love Pallilo getting an extra hour. Only guy in Houston worth listening to.

Not enough mike time for both Matt and Lance this morning. They were either talking over one another, or one would just take a complete back seat and let the other guy drive totally. They are going to need some time to polish the show, but I think it has a lot of potential.

So long as Ross the intern is still with Matt. Matt and Lance ribbing on Ross is awesomeness.

Now if only anyone OTL could actually pick up a clear signal from 790 after 6 pm. I imagine his show won't go to 7 that often once baseball starts back up as it will be preempted for the astros pre-game show most days.

Turned on the 610 AM HD station yesterday to listen to the Texans while driving. Was still on this morning and endured 5 minutes of ear bursting crap of In The Loop. I might listen to Lopez with another co-host but Nick Wright is horrible, horrible, horrible. Together they make a pretty bad pair.

Sirius radio and a ten minute commute FTW...

I figured someone had to chime in and proclaim how bad Houston sports radio still is in 2016.

Not only is Nick Wright horrible but 610 beats the Texans to death. I understand that's their bread and butter but good God it's so painful to hear the same Texans talk anytime you tune into a channel.

I mean seriously? How many times can you break down and discuss the same plays over and over? It's mind numbing.
