Don't worry I am protesting to get to my purchase price but I was just hoping in general it wouldn't have increased more than what my purchase price was.

I also thought HCAD was only allowed a max increase of 10%?

If you live in your home and have a homestead exemption, then the taxable or appraised value has a 10% max increase, but your market can increase to any amount, but you will only be taxed for the max of 10%

If your property is a rental and has no exemption, the the sky is the limit on your taxes... Done..no more questions please..
