Needs to be within driving distance of Houston, and include golf on either Friday or Saturday. We'll have 20 guys. The day we don't play golf, we probably need something to keep us busy during the day.

Was planning on going to Lake Chuck, fishing Friday afternoon, staying at a fishing lodge and BBQing Friday night, waking up Saturday to play golf, then go to the casino Saturday night. The only two fishing lodges that can accommodate us are booked.

Golf friday anywhere - steak dinner at Strip house or any of the other fine establishments.

Sat. St. Arnolds/Karbach early - Treasures late.

Not in Houston. Apology for not clarifying.

This is the job of the best man...unless TexAgs is your best man then I have pity for you. Wait no I do not...this is just sad.

Poor schmuck is stuck with going to Lake Chuck for the bachelor party. You realize you are technically only going to have one of these in your lifetime right???

Just this year I've got bachelor parties in NOLA, Costa Rica, and Vegas.

Do it big or don't do it at all.

My brother is the best man, and we are working on it together.

We have an unusually large group, which is making it a little more complicated than usual. I'm not having to plan my who bparty. Just the destination & and general activities (golf, fish, etc).

I've been to Breck & Vegas in the past 12 months, but those weddings were both in Housron. I'm getting married in Florida, so I'm not going to be the ******* that ask friends to shell out $1500 for the bachelor party, and then fly themselves & spouse to Florida as well.

If you're not going to do Lake Charles and NOLA is out of the question then you might as well just stay in Houston and do the tamulax33 plan. Actually sounds pretty good to me.

This guy has the right idea. I know of some guys going to CR in about a month....sounds like a pretty f'ing awesome time.

Honestly though, do Vegas or NOLA or somewhere else badass. This is for you, not for your cheap buddies convenience. Plan it for Vegas and your true friends will be there. Not gonna be 20 more than likely, but do you need that many swinging d-cks around you anyways? That sounds like too many people to me. Stay somewhere nice like Aria, Cosmopolitan, or Wynn and look at 9s and 10s run through there at a rapid pace while you're at a table gambling. Then go to the Rhino. Thank me later.

How is NOLA not in the equation? Could go fishing and I'm sure there is golf around there. Also, the food, atmosphere, and casino are all there. Not to mention there are strip clubs which are a requirement for a bachelor party.

Could not agree more David Puddy. We probably know some of the same guys doing the Costa Rica trip. Mid March trip to Jaco?

The Vegas trip we are staying at Aria for 3 nights, doing steak dinner and Rhino one night, pool party during one of the days, and most likely table service the other night. First night is reserved for whatever debauchery will go down. My buddy invited well over 25 and we have a solid 10 going. Sure the trip is for you but then again if I'm heading to a bachelor party I want to be doing something badass and worth the money.

One of the best weekends of my life was a bachelor party in NOLA

the older you get and the more married friends you have, the more likely youll find opposition to this point we were lamenting the dwindling numbers of our single dudes while parusing a wetteeshirt contest in Cabo just last week.

a NOLA bachelor party is the way to go. flights are cheap, or just rent a few cars and carpool.

Great point as I hear this a lot through several of mine that tell me that I'm the last hope. I also agree with this 100% and I know my buddies are counting on me to do it right...

That said, I don't think I don't know if I could get my old lady to sign off on Costa Rica.

New Orleans hands down. Best place for bachelor party and cheap also (If you stay out of the casino).

Don't do the fishing lodge/BBQ thing. That's lame

By the time you are 28, you've been on enough bachelor parties where you've spent a mortgage payment at the strip club doing terrible things with non-anglo *****s, stayed up til 8am, bailed buddies out of jail, and peed blood the following week.

I am looking for something a little more low key.

False. I'm almost 30 and the bachelor parties hurt more these days but once the hangover is gone you have another epic trip under your belt that you and your buddies will talk about for the rest of your life.

If you are looking for something "low key" then you sir are on the wrong board. Maybe take this to the vagiina board.

Now that you mention it, 28 is pretty damn old for any of that sort of debauchery. I mean you are 6 years out of college afterall.

Wish more people would think like you. I would just party in Houston. Golf/Karbach Tour/Washington bars/Teetery then hit up Didi's after hours for the 3am bikini show and a few rounds of pool with the local mayans. They would be more than happy to accomodate 15-20 young professional WASP males.

Depends if you're wedding is in Houston or not. Its real dbaggish to make guests go to 2 destination events.
strohag
How long do you want to ignore this user?
My married buddies are usually some of the wildest ones on these bachelor parties. Most of those guys are ready to party when they get on these things. Why do something like head to the fishing cabin when you can do this anytime while you are married. It's not like it will be easy to get a hall pass to go to NOLA or Vegas when you are married.

Like I said, your real friends will be at both. When I was around that same age a few years ago, I made a New Orleans BP, got rolled in the casino, then made a non-all inclusive wedding in Cabo where I had to pay for all my food/drinks. Not once did I think of my good buddy as a dbag for "making me" go to both.

yep - it seems like everyone's on the right page except for the bachelor. sounds like this'll work out just fine - since we're proly not invited. id be pissed to waste a pass on something "low key" and "considerate".

I say we have a Texags bachelor party without the bachelor since it has to be "low key". Thats some gay ****.
