BBRex,
I think TAMUAGGIES & jetch17 are both correct. That said, I think Invicta is a good entry level watch. They have great styles, a reliable movement, and the upper end ones have sapphire crystal.
If you look at some comments on this thread a few things are written between the lines:
First, some people here really should relax and try not to take life so seriously.
Second, a watch with sapphire crystal, jeweled movements (ie 17 jewels, 21 jewels, etc) are well made typically, stainless steel versus mystery metal cases AND bands or clasps if leather/neoprine rubber on the bands, two year manufacturers warranty, etc, are watches you can count of being around for a while.
Any Rolex I have worn was made so my grandson might one day pass it on, if kept up with. I also have a Timex runners watch, and I tend not to overhaul the tranny on my tractor, with the Rolex on.
As with most things, honesty and common sense trump all. A guy who only carries Rolex in his store may tell you it is the only watch you should wear. I say pick the right tool for the job. If you are helping me with the tranny, you are a fool to wear your Rolex. If you are selling me a Mercedes, I might apprecaite your Rolex. I also might not.
My business model is one that allows me to acquire most any medium to high end watch you want. If you are looking for an entry level watch, I can help you also, but Amazon likely has it for the same price I can get it.
I don't have a dog in the fight to make you spend as much as you can, beacause I am a wholesaler. I make the same on your Tag Heuer purchase as your Patek Philippe.
A relatively unknown watch that is built really well for the price point is Justex.
I have three Justex Watches left in total! These Watches are Swiss Made, Heavy, nice watches, and they come with a 2 Year Warranty. You can learn more about them at

If you are shopping watches, find the one you like and let me quote it. You have a Tourneau in Houston. You can put just about any watch you want on your wrist there. LEt me know the manufacturers ID number on the back, and I can price it. You would want to do this soon for Christmas, as it can take 2-3+ weeks to get one!
I don't try to make a living selling watches, but as a self confessed watch geek, I am happy to help you.
+++Warning - the first higher end watch you put on your wrist is not the last. Just ask any bow hunter about the first bow he or she bought. It was the cat's meow when purchased, but they cannot remember it now...very addictive stuff here...run away!+++
